There is a reason why I love good replicas of classic cars: You can trash them and have all the fun without fearing to destroy a historicaly significant automobile. Add modern technology for better reliability and the fact that you have a brand new car and I see no drawbacks.

Do want, even though I probably won't fit in that car.
Factory Five Racing missed a HUGE opportunity. A company that makes replicas decides to go and do an original design, and had a design contest and everything... completely disregarded.
They could have made a replica of a light mid-engined car, like Stratos... or better yet, somehow optioned the neo-Stratos body that Ferrari kyboshed and denied to be built on a shortened F430 platform...
A modernized Lancia Stratos body on a tube-frame chassis, with an STI Subaru drivetrain behind the driver, driving the rear wheels... how would that not be amazing?
I think I am going to go look up Lister Bell, and daydream a bit.

When I posted my list on how I would spend $5,000,000 on cars and I posted a picture of a Lancia Stratos, this is what I was referring to. Has all the merits of the original, while offering a more reliable and affordable running gear.

there's also the Hawk HF, formerly the only Stratos replica in which Mr Jeremy Clarkson hates
I see no bad in it other than the fact that you get to drive what you make...

There were build quality issues with the Hawk HF, so I passed it up.

I've been thinking the same of the past month or two too...it's better than adding another track day/weekend car to the already large selection. That powertrain had so much potential.
A short-wheelbase, lightweight, mid-engined, daily driveable sports car would be absolutely dominate the industry right now - even in kit form
RIP MR2...you never really got a chance to rally and I hope you come back soon. That last gen was kinda strange though.

And when I see a good replica, my mouth still drops and saliva falls out. Seeing a physical, shaped clone of an original (only seen before on paper or screen) is already enough to melt me.

Why does it keep winking at me when going around corners?

I'm pretty sure he was just flashing at the camera, but forgot they were pop ups.
